About Us
Yesterday’s Auto was established in 1983
as a dealer in Classic, collectible, and special interest
automobiles. Al Hagen, the founder and proprietor, is
the fourth generation of his family to be in the automotive
business. Al is a member of the Specialty Vehicle Dealers
Association [SVDA], the Society of Automotive Historians,
International Society of Appraisers, and the Better Business
Bureau.
Yesterday ’s is located in Minneapolis at
28th and Lyndale South. Our three level, 15,000 square
foot building was built in 1911 by the Eklund Brothers
Bus Co. The Eklund bus was manufactured here until 1935.
Eklund was the first supplier to Grey Hound. The building
now houses our classic car showroom and is decorated with
our collection of automotive dealership and gas station
signs.
Since the beginning in ‘83, Yesterday’s
has sold well over a thousand collector cars to customers
throughout the states, Canada, Europe, Japan and the Middle
East. These vehicles ranged from a 1915 Ford to a Plymouth
Prowler. Our main interest and focus has been on American
cars from the late twenties to the early seventies and
European sports cars. Yesterday’s also provides an appraisal
service. We list as our customers many collectors, private
parties, lending institutions, attorneys, Internal Revenue
Service, F.D.I.C., and the Federal Marshals Service.
If your travels take you to Minneapolis
please stop in and visit us. We are only fifteen minutes
from the airport or the Mall of America, and ten minutes
from downtown.
